FNG-1 = Zare

FNG-2 = M.O.D.

FNG-3 = "Mike", but after his 2nd post today "Purell".  Welcome, Purell!

After a relaxing Sunday and a forecast of lotsa rain Monday, the DPK parking deck was a strong draw to pax around the lake.  My 2.0s were ready, as was Mike, who posted for his 1st F3 workout last Thursday.

Upon arrival, we realized we had a +10 crowd forming, AND that more than one pax was prepared and willing to Q.  Perfect.  So Carpetbagger took a group, as did YHC.

As far as I know, Carpetbagger took the other group into the basement where they had donuts and told stories of times when they used to gather in large groups, eating and drinking together, sitting close to one another and seeing each others' faces.  Every 15 minutes they got up and moseyed past us, but no one believed they were exercising.

As for the REAL workout:

Down to the bottom to get blocks (3 of us had KBs, so just needed 3 blocks).  Bring them back up to the ground level.

Mosey up one ramp, high knees down.  Mosey up again karaoke, butt kickers down. Karaoke other way, back down.

Circle up for SSH, IST, Windmill, Dwight Schrute, Merkins.

Then The Thang:

Each pax took a turn calling a KB/Block exercise.  After 3 exercises, run up one level and back.  After 3 more exercises, run up two levels and back. 3 more, 3 levels.  Now we're getting to the rain.  3 more, all the way to the top.  Time for Mary.

That was pretty much it.

The wet/dry moleskine:

Sorta stayed dry in the deck, but there were heavy leaks all over the place, impossible to avoid while running.  As was the rain on the last two up and backs.

Thankful Soprano chose our group from the beginning – everyone else followed Carpetbagger (except my two 2.0s and FNG I brought). But Tantrum showed up a couple mins late and just accidentally fell into our group.  Perfect, now we had 6 and Tantrum pushed us on every run.

We joined Carpetbaggers group for COT (wide COT with 14 all 6' apart).  FNG-3 "Mike" was named.  Almost landed "Hot Tamale" as that was the name of the food truck I met Mike at when I EH'ed him.  But given these global pandemic times, the direct twitter messages were flying heavy the night before the naming, with heavy influence of COVID/Quarantine themed names.  Top names were Panda (short for pandemic), TP, Face Mask, Home School and others.  Muhan was the least popular by far.  But the top vote getter, and new nickname for Mike was/is:  Purell.  Welcome, Purell.

I think it will be neat/fun if every FNG who gets nicknamed during the quarantine "No official F3" era gets a quarantine related nickname.

Honeysuckle Blue has an FNG to name at his next post – will he follow this lead???
