Overtime & Bourbon at Titan

AO

The last two weeks we've been rained out at Titan… heavy thunderstorms saw us straight cancel on 4/13, and last week wasn't as bad, but we had an OTB option with a few FNG's at DPK, so we converged 4/20.  But no more excuses, game on at Titan.  Today would be our rescheduled bourbon lottery (context here: https://f3lakenorman.com/announcement/do-you-like-bourbon-lottery-at-titan-for-qs-and-regulars-this-winter).  But I wanted to throw a curve ball… a third ticket could be punched by attending today – but suffering would be required.  So I warned the pax in advance, this workout WILL last over 45 minutes…

No Warm-Up, straight to the Thang:

  • Run to Mt Olive Church (~1 mile)
  • SSH x 15
  • Windmill x 10
  • Dwight Schrute Farmer x 15
  • Run to Schite Creek (~1 mile)
  • Incline Merican x 15
  • Dip x 15
  • Run to end of Neck Road (~1 mile)
  • Makhtar N'Diaye x 15
  • Rock Dry Rock x 15
  • Run to Schite Creek (~1 mile)
  • Incline Merican x 15
  • Dip x 15
  • Run to Mt Olive Church (~1 mile)
  • Mindbender x happiness
  • Pretzel Crunch x 20
  • Low Dolly x 15
  • Dying Cockroach x 15
  • Run back to Hopewell (~1 mile)

So basically we ran to the end of Neck Road, just shy of 6 miles round trip, with pain stations every mile.  Took ~65-70 min I think?  Nobody seems to be rushing off to work these days haha…

Bourbon lottery was won by Tantrum, congratulations.  It felt like a bit of a foregone conclusion, but I don't think anyone will argue – he earned it – Tantrum is the only person who attended Titan more than I did since Jan 1st (I've missed 3x, he's only missed 2x).  I've offered a firepit as a consolation prize, by pax request that will (weather permitting) be this Saturday.  Any Titan regular / semi-regular is welcome.

Thank you to everyone who supports Titan.  Even if it's only a few times a year.  This workout has meant a lot to me over the past five years or so, and I appreciate the fellowship, the accountability, the strength, and the friendships that have come from it.  Stay strong men!
