6 men made the "early" edition at 0530 to start their weekend early….
– I didn't realize how much the 0530 crew has missed me. We left 5 minutes late after everyone really opened-up and I had to fight off several attempted man hugs. I promise I'll try to make some more early runs. But you will need to be able to stand on your own 2 feet at some point.
– Dandy rolls in early to the AO, and Gecko rolls in late. Gecko explains that he was knocking on Sam's door to wake him up.
– While running down Camino the PAX sees a glorious meteor streak across the sky. I guess this is one bonus of the early edition.
– Moments later, we hear a vehicle approaching from behind in the opposite lane, to which Sam says, "car back, actually it may be a Prius", it turns out to be a full-sized 18-wheel cement truck.
– Again, moments later, another car, Sam says "Car Back! Sounds like a helicopter", SMH. Not a helicopter.
– Rudolph joins us after camping at the WWC yesterday and hiking 20+ miles. I admonished him for not wearing a vest in the dark and he said that his white chest was reflective. Maybe stop shaving it.
– Fabio has no such luck, he sports a full sweater vest even when he goes shirtless.
– Shirley busts out of the gate and sets-down a blistering first mile. He then feels sorry for us mortals and re-joins us in Covington.
– I guess I'll offer a 0630 option next time, but I can't win no matter what I offer. Remember, you are Freed To Lead!
