The morning started with 3 PAX in the lot at 6:30 AM plus Hefty at the corner chatting up Cropduster. We tried to wait before starting the lap and then left him in the dust with the duster (YSWIDT). As expected, he found us as we looped back at the end of the lap. The lap was quite adventurous, all PAX recognize 'Car Up'. As we stride forward and the car approaches, it's clear the driver does not see us or is distracted. Sonar volunteers to stick out as YHC steps left into the gutter then to the top of the curb. As the car rides by, Scope let him have a 'GET OFF YOUR PHONE!!!!' to which no sign of seeing or hearing us was found, no swerve or brake lights after passing, just the warm glow of cell phone blue light bouncing off a driver's face.
The lap was survived by all and we got into the stretching. There was one point when YHC tried a new one that was met with less enthusiasm than expected. Wrapped up right on time for Bible Study.
- Sonar pulled the quote of the morning from Kindergarten Cop – "Boys have a pe*** and girls have a va****" during a discussion that most HR departments would have turned into an opportunity for Sensitivity Training
- Scope's M was featured in story again today, this time due to a discussion that took place prior to getting her firearm permit. He had to point out that, though she looked beautiful after getting gussied up, there are no photos to be had for the permit.
- Hefty assured us he was not offended when we took off without him for the lap as he's walking over from the townhomes and considers that to be a pre-warmup lwarmup lap.
- Much discussion about car inspections – please see Hefty or Scope for advice on where to go to be sure your vehicle passes. Luckily Scope's mustang is a classic and not subject to emissions or safety inspection and in 3 years Hefty's jeep will be in the same situation, so disregard the 'sqeualing' you may hear.
Pleasure to lead. Namaste, Bertha
