Yes, the title is a football reference… Eagles beat the Cowboys last night to take a solid position in first place in the NFCE. At a not-at-all-intimidating 3-4-1 we are indeed the Kings of the Garbage Mountain (i.e. the division we play in). Beware our mediocrity!
Anyway, first Monday five-miler today. Lawn Dart and Bootlegger got a bit lost, Q fail on my part, mea culpa. Today was perhaps the first day of fall under 40 degrees I think – at least the first one I’ve posted at. How is it that every winter I forget how to dress for cold weather? It always takes me a few weeks to get back into the rhythm of what to wear for 20’s and 30’s, what to bring for running v. bootcamps… and then there’s the FINDING of the gear. Where did I put all my ear coverings? Why does that sweatshirt I haven't worn in 8 months smell like cheese?
Anyway, good work all. I did NOT feel like getting up to run today but as always… I'm glad I did.
Notable absences: Cowboy fans who HCed to run yesterday. Much like their football team, they have left fans disappointed this morning.
