Reflection:  Jeremiah 17:5-8
Thus says the Lord:
5 “Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart turns away from the Lord.
6 He is like a shrub in the desert, and shall not see any good come.
He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness, in an uninhabited salt land.
7 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord.
8 He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit."
– Thanks to Pastor Jordan from pursuit church for sharing this message last week.
– He pointed out that the cursed man "shall not see any good come."  This doesn't mean that no good comes to him…just that he doesn't see it.
– We had a good conversation about letting challenges overwhelm us when good is happening.  Staying focused and asking for God to open our eyes to His blessings.  Good sharing.

moleskine:
– Anvil has a pretty sweet tattoo sleeve thing going.  Spartan warrior, olive branch, really cool stuff.  Good look with the shading and coloring phases.
– Retread loves his old school F3 MudGear shirt with the triple layer sleeves.  YHC happened to wear the same old school F3 shirt.  Maybe we were both still recovering from Anvil's up/downs from last week?
– Shirley unknowingly leads another Shield Lock get together.  Reminder to all that Shirley starts flying again in December.  He  claims they will retrain him before letting him loose.

Thanks guys for letting me lead.  It was a great honor.
