'Twas the day after Christmas when all through the road, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse. As you looked out in the distance, you could see Pinky and Mojito running to the workout. As we ran there, we talked about how there was no pre-blast, so wondered if there was even a workout. Nonetheless, at 19 degrees, it felt like a good morning to go out for a run.
As we made it to the AO, we saw a shadowy figure at the corner. We were not sure if it was a FNG or if we were stuck in the movie Scrooge with the ghost of Christmas Future. As Pinky asked if the suspicious character was there for the workout, we realized it was Slow Roll, who braved the temperatures and had some ice hanging from his beard.
No warm up required since we all ran 3.5+ miles to the workout, but we did some stretches just in case someone else would show up. At 7:02 we launched to find a spot to do the Murph. After a mile plus around the Riverbend neighborhood, we found the playground we were looking for, equiped with pull bars and all. 100 pull ups, 200 merkins and 300 squats later, we were ready to make our way back. A lot of heavy breathing making it back to the entrance, as it was primarily uphill.
Santa's sleigh was long gone, so we had to run back home. Good job Pinky and Slow Roll. A pleasure to workout with you this morning.
