Reflection
There seems to be a lot of division right now in our country – probably more so perception in the media than a reality, but nonetheless; it’s no secret that there are factions of politicians on both side of the political spectrum who have an agenda that seeks to serve interests other than those of the American people. Many such politicians and bureaucrats are the very source of such division and they feed on it as their source of power. This is not leadership. Know that the strength of this country doesn’t sit in Washington DC, but is in our small towns and communities. Each of us can contribute in our own way. As local leaders, I challenge each of us to look for ways to take ownership in our communities, whether to serve in local office, volunteer, or otherwise support good people who do.
