"BEFORE" STUFF:

Thought there would be more Polar Bear refugees, but four is a good number, especially with the addition of Omega's two canis lupus familiaris: Bailey and Banks. 


"DURING" STUFF:

This workout is called The Bloody Red Baron after lyrics from the 1966 song by the Royal Guardians which Moses was able to remember and even sing a few bars.   

In the song, they count off: 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 or more…, so we took that cue to the soccer field and did 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 reps of one exercise (with a 200 yard run to the opposite corner of the field in between each set) before moving to the next exercise. So. . .a total of 150 reps per exercise with 1/8 mile run in between each of the 5 sets.

  • Deep Squats
     
  • Big Boy Merkins 
     
  • Snow Angels (Wide Leg, Cross-Body, Toe-Touch Situps), also called X's and Ohhs. 
     
  • Folding Card Tables
     
  • Oblique V-Ups
     
  • Stretches 

Summary: 2.5 miles, 750 reps!

"AFTER" STUFF:

Moses took us out with a thoughtful (and thought-proking) prayer. Waffle House said that Michael Douglas in Ant Man reminded him of YHC. We'll just forget that he was 14 years older at the time than I am now. (Or maybe Waffle was talking about the youngified CGI version. That's probably it.) Image for post

Omega had to go talk some builders into helping him sell even more houses. Waffle House, Moses, and YHC decamped to Starbucks to discuss whether we should consider return on investment instead of return on equity, among other fascinating topics.
