Who am I missing??? 

What a miserable day to stay in bed! It was great that my schedule was able to line up with a Q and fun to lead this rag-tag n rowdy band of misfits.

Warm Up:

  • Side Straddle Hops 20 IC
  • Safety SS Hops 15 IC
  • Snoop Squats 10
  • Potty Squats 10
  • Wind Mills 10 
  • Lots of arm circles. A whole bunch of 'em
  • Like seriously, is the Q even counting?

The T-Hang

3 Groups of 3 Sets of 3 Exercises, Heavy bell, Medium/Light Bell, Merkins – all OYO set a goal and get it.

GROUP 1

1. Heavy American KB Swing – Pax encouraged to hit 20

2. Medium KB Hang Snatch to a Split Jerk – Pax encouraged to aim for 5 to each side

3. Standard old regular Merkins.

Repeato 3xs

Group 2

1. Heavy Figure 8s – Stand up straight at each swing!

2. Medium KB Hang Clean to a Split Jerk – 5 each side

3. Staggard Hand Merkins – One hand forward and one hand back – then switch

Repeato 3 xs

Group 3 

1. Floor to Over-head (Deadlift the heavy bell to a clean and then press it to the heavens baby)

2. Skipped the traveling swings. 

3. Merkin Press Attack – 5 merkins IC and to the back to do 10 chest presses. Repeated 3 times

Maintenance: Curls for the Gurls and some Skull Crushers to keep us sexy.

Scope led us in some LBCs. 20 IC

Neck Exercises – While on back, Nod head 20xs, Ear to Shoulder 20xs each side, Rotate phat heat left 20xs then right 20xs then nod it again 20 xs

Having my two oldest getting ready to leave home for 18months and 2 years had me thinking about our voyage into adulthood and what they are being asked to sacrifice to cross into adulthood as well as what other youth over the ages have been asked to sacrifice to enter into adulthood whether it be vision quests, basic training, or war. 

As men, we have the opportunity to be better each day. Better employers/employees, leaders, fathers, brothers, friends, husbands, etc., so what is it that we need to do to achieve the next level? What can we sacrifice to be more balanced, more effective? 

Mumble Chatter: 

Not much today. Kind of cold to talk… Nice to see the bodies laying around after the Merkin Press Attacks. Wonder what the passerbys were thinking? "Same old thing, different day." 

It was a true honor to lead you chaps today!
