Saturday In The Park

Four of MILF3’s finest came to the Quarry Hood for a Saturday Workout, in the park, I think it was the (6th of March)

Warm-o-Rama

Dynamic stretching platter in the parking lot.  Run down the hill (or take the courtesy car) for more leg stretching along the fence. Run up to main park

Timed event with 20 seconds of exercise followed by a 10 second rest between exercises.  One minute rest period at the end of each set. Seven exercises in each set, which were aided with the use of park benches.  Exercises included:

  • Decline mercans

  • 1-leg step up (left leg)

  • Incline mercans

  • 1-leg step up (right leg)

  • Dips

  • 2-leg step up / box jump (both legs)

  • Bench leg crunches

Six sets in total, I think

Mary

Do the following for one minute:

  • Plank with shoulder taps

  • Boat pose

  • Freddie Mercury

  • Elbow plank with either dolphin back arch/humper and/or J Lo

  • legs flat, heels together crunches

Moleskine

  • Honor to B.O.F. for a strong showing. He’s strong like bull

  • Between sets, G Rip went into the bushes on the side of the park and proceeded to get down on his hands and knees. It was a natural instinct that caused me to look away

  • Best part of working at a vaccination clinic is hearing patients talk excitedly about finally being able to see their kids and grandkids

  • Overheard during the workout. “I’m sure glad I drove here”

  • Pinky was tardy and received an additional set as an act of contrition. However, he was not contrite

  • The trusty timer sure got some work today

  • Overheard during the workout: “This exercise really works the perineum” and “Its better than kegels”

  • Financially savvy medical persons like to spread that overhead around by bringing in additional partners

  • Overheard during the workout: “Are you menstruating G Nip?”

  • I’m still not sure if Pinky ran, drove or did both to arrive at the workout

  • Preliminary ideas shared for the first annual Overlook sprint triathlon which is tentatively slated to happen on Memorial Day Sunday morning. There will also be relay options for swim/bike/run, the race will look to raise money for a worthy cause and am quite confident that there will be beer at the finish line
