Let’s Run it Back at The Estate

FNG-1 was 66's 2.0, a.k.a. "33".

Today we ran it back at The Estate, and took another stab at the workout which was my first ever Q at this great AO.  Here is the link to that workout from 2016:  http://www.f3lakenorman.com/backblast/what-a-bunch-of-squares-at-the-estate

Today we tried to keep it very similar, though a few things changed slightly.  We had 11.01 Pax * and 1 dog.

WARM-O-RAMA

  • 1 Mosey around parking lot, mixing in high knees, butt kickers, long striders, karaoke, and Quadraphilia.
  • 4 Slow Windwills IC
  • 9 Soybean Farmers IC
  • 16 Slow Deep Squats IC
  • 25 SSH IC
  • 36 Maroccan Night Clubs IC
  • 49 seconds of Arm Circles  (1 or 2 of the clever PAX began to sense a pattern…)

Round 1 – 64 Burpees:

  • Run diagonally across the bottom soccer field (i.e. field 1) to the upper left side of field 1, perform 11 burpees OYO, then crawl bear up the hill to the lower left side of field 2.  Plank while waiting for the 6.
  • Run diagonally across the middle soccer field to the upper right side of field 2, perform 11 burpees OYO, then crawl bear up the hill to the lower right side of field 3.  Plank while waiting.
  • Run diagonally across the upper soccer field to the upper left side of field 3, perform 11 burpees OYO.  Plank while waiting.  Quadraphilia across the field to the upper right side of field 3.
  • Reverse direction. Run diagonally across the upper soccer field to the lower left side of field 3, perform 11 burpees OYO, then walk down the hill to the upper left side of field 2.  Plank while waiting.
  • Run diagonally across the middle soccer field to the lower right side of field 2, perform 10 burpees OYO, then walk down the hill to the upper right side of field 1.  Plank while waiting.
  • Run diagonally across the bottom soccer field to the lower left side of field 1, perform 10 burpees OYO, then plank while waiting.
  • Editor's Note:  We did our 64 Burpees.  The exact order ^ from last time may have varied

Round 2 – 81 Mericans:

Mosey to the lower left side of the parking lot, if facing Beatties Ford Road.

Repeat the above diagonal pattern, but using the parking lot islands as stopping points for 13 Mericans OYO.

On the 6th set do 16 Mericans instead of 13 (to get to 81).

Round 3 – Rock work:

  • 100 seconds of the people’s chair, with air press x 20 IC, then stand up for
  • 121 seconds of Zamporinis with a rock overhead.  We made this time go by faster by learning the length of time each Pax has been in F3 and who EH'd them

We had some extra time because everyone was fast today.  We did a 200 M lunge walk, using the track, then ran the remaining 200 M.

Round 4 – Mary:

  • Hamstring stretch
  • 144s.  Just like 100s, only longer!
  • 169 seconds of plank.  Er, actually had to audible here.  YHC needs to work on this.
  • Low Flutters x 20 IC  Ran out of time
  • LBCs x 20 IC  Ran out of time

Recover, recover.  Total distance was 2.08 miles according to Strava, almost identical to the 2.10 miles from 2016 when we did this.

Moleskin:

  1. Happy Easter gentlemen!
  2.  * YHC ran Excelsior even with a bad hamstring, to ensure my friend Tantrum wouldn't run alone.  (Luckily 4 other Pax joined too!)  Tantrum would of course return the favor and double down at The Estate…but wait we're Quadraphilia-ing and who is that getting into his car?!?! – boom busted Tantrum.  We saw you leaving!  YHC was tempted to not even put you on the backblast for that manuever but I'll give you credit for the 25 seconds you stayed with us.
  3. There were many plugs to get on the Q calendar for MQs in attendance:  Enron, Popcorn, Hasselhoff, and Carpet Bagger.  Of course, these MQs are doing such a fine job that if you want to get on the calendar, your next opportunity might be August in some cases!
  4. Help a brother out, Enron could use a couple of Qs at The Sword for April.  I got you bud!
  5. Speaking of plugs…this coming Thursday is Samson suicides.  Hasselhoff will be out of town, but look for Bob Ross to lead us.
  6. Popcorn met Baller for the first time today.  Mistakingly called him "Faller" at one point, to which Frogger joked we should rename Rooter as Faller.  "Too soon" I said, and punched Frogger as I often do.  Or something like that.
  7. Have a good trip to Myrtle Frogger.  Nice job on the #TripleDown today brother.
  8. Strong double down Snake Eyes today.  And many Pax are hoping video emerges from some of your dance moves from the P200.  Looking back at the Backblast from 2016, looks like you are the only Pax to fully complete this workout twice…appreciate you!
  9. Baller was FLYING today.
  10. Ditto for Carpet Bagger.  Didn't know you had that extra gear brother.  Great catching up at coffeeteria.
  11. Strong Dad work 66 bringing out 1 little dude and 1 little dog.  Next time maybe bring out the whole crew?
  12. Apologies Camelback didn't get to catch up too much with you today…YHC was out of breath most of the time.  Nice work today.
  13. Appreciate the opportunity to lead Rooter and we hope you are healing up my dude.

Appreciate everyone coming out for what was original once…and vintage now.

Happy Easter gents!
