Mosey to the back, get a block and mosey back to AO.
We played a little 5 card stud today. The deck had only 8s, 9s, 10s, Js, Qs, Ks and As. The work was lais out as:
– Hearts = # on card of Block Man-maker Burpees
– Clubs = # on card of Block Iron Crosses (row, left press, right press, oh press)
– Diamonds = # on card of Block lunges
– Spades = # on card of Block WWIs
We collected the cards to see what hand we drew and the bonus exercise was:
– Pair = Quadraphilia up the Big Hill
– 3 of a kind = Big Bertha up the parking lot
** We only ever drew a pair but you can make stuff up for the other hands in the poker spectrum.
We got 3 rounds with lots of Iron Crosses, lots of lunges and a smattering of Man-makers and Block WWIs.
Reflection
The term "mayday" originated in 1920 from the French "m'aider" which means "help me". It replaced "SOS" (Save Our Souls) which primarly a Morse Code term and since radios were replacing the Code they needed a new term.
When we are in distress we can look to God for our deliverance. He is always with us. And while he may not take away our trials, He is stride for stride with you through them.
Moleskin
Everyone got introduced to our new "Bertha"….now named "Big Bertha" with a parking lot carry. She weighs in around 105# and will provide lots of fun in the future.
Shirley came by in full pilots uniform. Gotta say, ALL the guys were a little light -headed after that! Hopefully there were no "Mayday's" in his Saturday.
Strudel and Dandelion loved Big Bertha and I noticed them eyeing her at every opportunity.
Cheetah is a quadraphiliac…..fast feet.
Skipper gets tons of bonus points for attending one of my workouts! AND, he totally crushed the BB carry! Swole!
What a beautiful morning to be together!
