REFLECTION
As we kick off Memorial Day Weekend, let us remember those who gave the ultmost in service to this great nation. From Decoration Day gatherings following the Civil War, to what has become our longest war in Afghanistan, Americans have taken this time to remember, mourn, and celebrate the selfless men and women who died in military service. At the end of the fight, be it the defense of Little Round Top, the Somme River, the Ardennes, the Chosin Reservoir, Hill 937, Sadr City or Sawtalo Sar, the Gospel of John reminds us that “greater love has no man this: that he lay down his life for his friends.”
