The Deal

Head to the open track. Gates wide open! Mosey through the field to the other end of track to see if they left the back gate open for us – no dice! So hill sprints it is.

10x Squats at top of hill, mosey to the bottom.

20x Squats at bottom of hill, sprint to the top.

30x Squats at top of the hill, mosey to the bottom.

40x Squats at the bottom of the hill, sprint to the top.

Plank for the 6

That got old pretty quick, but what is a Q to do on leg day without an open track? Mosey to the pull-up bars for burpees and pull-ups;

3 Sets of 5x burpees and 5x pull-ups. I know, not really a leg day type exercise, but I digress.

Mosey to the launch pad and Casey Jones (see my last Q if you’re wondering what a Casey Jones is) around the parking lot, stopping in front of the gym. Then pair up;

PAX1 runs up the parking lot and back, while PAX2 does step-ups. Once PAX1 is back, they swap places until they reach 100 step-ups (2-is-1).

Casey Jones around the parking lot back to the LP (this one got really sloppy – circling back for the 6 got ugly quick). We then gathered for a round of parking lot suicides.

Mary

10x WWIs OYO

10x Pretzle Crunches IC L+R

10x Freddie Mercurys

10x Flutter Kicks

M/C

Lots of mumble chatter about how we all wished the track was open. That was basically it. Something about keys and fartsacks… something, something.

Reflection

1 Peter 5:6 – Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you

Often we think that a true sense of humility comes when we think lowly of ourselves. In comparison with God, we most certainly are lowly creatures. However, there is a more biblical humility that Peter speaks about here, where by faith we begin to see ourselves with how God sees us, which is often contrary to how we might feel or think.

As always, an honor!
