This year we have decided to attempt another snow tubing adventure for pax and familes. This time, to avoid the slush/ice havoc of Hawksnest, we will venture up to Winterplace ski resort in WV (http://www.winterplace.com/snow-tubing). Its about a 3 hour drive from Huntersville so plan on leaving around 7AM to make it up there around 10AM. We do not have the 90 minute time slot like we had at Hawksnest so there isn't the same time crunch; it should be more leisurely.
You can either do a 9AM to 1PM pass for $29, or 9AM to 10PM pass for $41. Unfortunately the commitment requirements for a group event are too difficult so purchasing your tickets is an OYO situation.
Some notes:
- Bib Rentals – $10
- Height requirement to tube for children is 44" or taller.
- Kiddie Park – available for children under 44 inches for $5.00 (based on weather, please call ahead).
- Check the Snow Report for Opening or Closing Status of the Kiddie Park.
