In November 2012 after numerous months of asking and then eventual shaming, Springfield convinced to come out to the GCC gloom for a Mini Me lead “FNG Friendly” WO. After chugging a Grande PSL on the way to GCC, I was suddenly in a group of out of shape men one of which was wearing a leather jacket and Rocky 1 style sweat pants. Half my PSL ended up in the outfield and the other half somewhere at the top of Hell’s Ascent by the end of what I would not characterize as a “FNG Friendly” WO by Mini Me. I tried it again the following week (without the PSL) and made it through, was named by Big Mean, and was hooked.
Fast forward 3 months and I cannonballed into a very deep pit. The lowest point of my life. I thank God that F3 was there to provide some sort of normalcy and brothers willing to pray and stand in the gap. Thank you Springfield for pushing me to come out and thank you to the pioneers of F3 for clearing the path for me and many like me.
