Since taking the reins as Master Q at Mighty Jungle, it has come to my attention that not everyone at the church has a good impression of F3. It seems that we have been known to leave broken cinder blocks lying around after workouts and it is perceived that the additional trash around the dumpster is ours. While not accurate, I do not like that anyone would think ill of our organization so I am looking to improve our relationship with the staff.
In talking with a retired volunteer named Bob, it seems he is the only person on staff handling all the landscaping needs. As the sole person, he does not have the time or ability to move mulch from the donated pile by the shed to all the islands around the parking lot. He was moved to tears when I suggested F3 could help with that task.
I have secured the help of Topgun, who has a truck with a hitch. Bob has offered to let us use his trailer so that we can move mulch to the needed locations quicker than one wheelbarrow at a time. What we DO need is a few dedicated guys who can stick around for 2-4 hours following the 0700 workout to help shovel and rake the mulch.
I would love to get HCs from a dozen or more men so that we have some to load mulch on to the trailer and more to offload and sift around the lot. If you have ever had the fortune of posting to Mighty Jungle or Gladiator at St Mark, I humbly ask that you reserve the morning of Saturday, September 29th to give back to the AO and improve upon our image with its members.
