The Iron Pax Challenge is ending. The 12 Q Challenge is still going strong. Jollyball is sure to challenge our abilities to stay uninjured for the rest of the year. With all these challenges going on, YHC thought he’d go ahead and join the bandwagon. This is the OFFICIAL PREBLAST for the Shield Lock Challenge. Tclaps to F3 Grand Strand for coming up with this and allowing YHC to appropriate it for our region.
Who: Teams of 4 minimum pax. Teams must be announced by 10/13 at 8pm.
When: 4 weeks, starting 10/14, ending 11/10
Why: To create Shield Lock amongst our pax and promote the mission of F3 across our region. Shield Lock is defined as the horizontal relationship between men, created to protect and enrich its members.

For points to count, teams must post picture evidence on Twitter and tag @f3lkn and YHC. Make sure you put in #bb or #f3counts to ensure a retweet from the f3lkn account. YHC will track points for each team. Any appeals to the scores must be notarized and filed in triplicate with Judge Scrappy who will immediately dismiss them for failure to follow the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure.
Post together as much as possible. Meet together outside of workouts for 2nd F. EH kotters and FNGs to accumulate more points. Teams must post picture evidence to acquire points for the designated activity. The team with the most points gets to enjoy the strengthening of their bond with their brothers…and eternal bragging rights. Possible prize for top team of whatever I have in my pocket at that moment. EXCITING STUFF!
But in seriousness, everyone should do this for the purpose of engaging in more 2nd F with your brothers. This is meant to be a fun way to strengthen Shield Lock and the real prize is increased Fellowship (corny, I know). There really is no reason to NOT sign up since you can only lose if you DON’T sign up.
Requirements to Complete the Challenge:
- Accumulate 40 points in 4 weeks, based on the scoring system below
- Meet together as a team at least one time for Fellowship/2nd F
Scoring
- At least 3 pax post at the same workout = 3 points
- At least 4 pax post at the same workout = 4 points
- At least 3 pax post, member of team Qs the workout AND posts a backblast = 1 point
- EH a Kotter = 2 points
- EH an FNG = 3 points
- Team meets for 2nd F = 3 points
- Team meets for 3rd F = 1 bonus point (4 points total)
Rules
- Points will only count if there is picture evidence posted on Twitter (If you're counting, this is the 3rd mention)
- Maximum of 15 points in one week for posting at workouts.
- OTB workouts count but they must be at least 45 minutes in length. Backblasts are required for OTB workouts to count to point total. OTB workouts are not eligible for the Q/backblast extra point.
- Kotter points are only given if the team EHs a Kotter not on their team. Kotter’s already on a Shield Lock team do not count.
- FNG points are only given if the team EHs an FNG not on their team. FNG’s already on a Shield Lock team do not count.
- Coffeeteria DOES NOT COUNT as a 2nd F meetup
- 2nd/3rd F meetup must:
- Be at least 30 minutes long
