DriveThru posted the first backblast for Mighty Jungle on our current website on December 19, 2015. Since then, there have been 198 workouts at St Mark on Saturday mornings. During that span, the Jungle has been managed by Crimson, Rocket and YHC. Per backblast data, over 145 pax have posted a combined 2300+ times. By all accounts, the Mighty Jungle is a veteran among F3/LKN AOs.

While the Mighty Jungle celebrates its anniversary in February (2019 marked the 5th anniversary), we are past due on hosting a homecoming. Why a homecoming? Many of the Mighty Jungle alumni have stopped attending. There are several good reasons for this change (kids’ activities, honey-do lists, CSAUP events) and a few not so good ones (#fartsacking, #coffeeteria in lieu of workout).

It’s time for all pax — past and present — to honor the longevity of the Mighty Jungle. We have decided to host homecoming the same weekend as the LKN Christmas party. Some might think that a little dumb, but we know how big a hit the party is which means everyone will be in town. Sure, you may be out Friday until past your normal bedtime, but we know that F3 lives for #CSAUP opportunities like this. It’s been a long time since we witnessed a #merlot at the Mighty Jungle — this is the perfect opportunity to see several.

We have lined up an honorary Q (or more) for the event. We’re talking class-acts, high quality Q-manship. Guys that all pax – past and present – show respect toward. #HIM by all accounts. (So obviously not YHC.) You would do a disservice to yourself, your peers and the Q(s) if you do not mark this event on your calendar now and plan to attend.

Awards will be presented to the furthest drive, longest absence (per BBs), and best mumblechatterer. And all are of course invited to keep the festivities going at #coffeeteria afterward.

A personal invite will be going out to all the past Mighty Jungle regulars. But the festivities are not limited to alumni. If you’re within driving distance of this amazing AO and meet the basic criteria of posting to an F3 workout, then you are encourgaged to join us on December 7, 2019. Do it for the Q. Do it for the AO. Do it for F3/LKN. AYE!
