It's that time of year again; Polar Bear 2021! The premier winter CSAUP event in LKN.
You do not want to miss out on this awesome, unforgettable morning with your F3 brothers. (i.e. most other area AOs are converging anyway).
So, what IS The Polar Bear? The idea is all about challenging pax past the comfort of their usual 45-minute 1stF with a strong emphasis on the 2ndF (sprinkled with some 3rdF along the way). All levels are welcome. The hardest of hearts will be challenged and the struggling stragglers will have ample opportunity to adapt intensity as needed. No Man Left Behind! This will be a team event while touring the great Latta Plantation and finding all it has to offer and then some. You will be on trails for the duration so please be prepared.

Time: 0730 Launch. The plan is to finish around 010:30, but plan on some 2ndF opportunity afterwards. Coffee, Beers, Bagels
We have noticed a misinterpretation of the event's name in recent weeks. This is not a plunge. You will not be forced into any body of water. There may or may not be an opportunity for all the real men posting to get wet* toward the end (Really, who wants to go home and tell their M's and 2.0s they didn't get wet at The Polar Bear?).
*Disclaimer: Just in case you get just a little damp, you might want to bring a dry shirt to change into or at least a towel. If you do happen to be one of the lucky ones, it won't be anymore than as if it had rained during the event. The 2ndF usually continues for some time after the event (sharing stories, meeting new faces, reinvigorating current friendships).
We are asking that teams of 6 form before the event and feel free to start the smack talking of who will take the title! If you are not on a team thats alright we will put you with someone.
This is a 3 hr event so if you need some food and water to get you through please bring it. We will have some water scattered around. I would also reccomend some older shoes. You may get muddy! This is not a road event.
