Covid-19 crisis in Nepal. Fundraiser:
Nepal is seeing the fastest spread of the Covid virus on the planet – faster than even India. The medical system is already overwhelmed with hospitals turning away critical patients. Nepal only has 1,500 ICU beds and 600 ventilators for a population of nearly 30 million people.
Only 1% of the population is fully vaccinated.
Nepal has a proven ability to successfully vaccinate even the most rural areas.
Scarcity of hospital beds and not only that oxygen supply is less than half the demand and people are dying because they can’t get oxygen. There is one person dying every 6 to 10 minutes in the country today from COVID-19 infection. There is scarcity of beds, oxygen and ventilators.
The Frontline workers are working day and night but a lot of them getting infected themselves because they are having to recycle the PPE’s which are not effective anymore and are short of this not because they are not available because they don’t have the financial support.
I’m trying to raise money to send to Nepal so that they can buy PPE’s to help the frontline workers protect themselves and they could keep going back to work and helping the rest of the population who are suffering and in a die-hard situation.
Help me raise this fund please, so that the doctors, nurses and all those volunteers trying to help these people suffering are protected as well.
