WHAT: F3 2022 CUT THE GUT CHALLENGE
HOW: Choose ANY DIET plan you like and stick to it. Pick a battle buddy or two to keep you accountable.
WHEN: STARTS NOW and ends on F3's annual MMM (Memorial Day Murph Monday) on 5/30/22
WHY: TO INVIGORATE MALE LEADERSHIP by Mastering Your #Queen, #Accelerate, get faster, and look better
Men:
I hope this #CutTheGut challenge invigorates and accelerates you mentally, physically, and spiritually. The key to this challenge is simple.
1st F. Step 1: Pick a diet and stick to it. There is no fad diet to follow or how to exercise. You men are smart. You know how ot lose weight. You know how to challenge yourself with harder workouts and not settle for easy ones. Ask yourself, "Am I accelerating or decelerating?" As a professional weight cutter myself wrestling my whole life there are two simple principles as follows: (1) Eat Less and (2) Exercise Often.
But for those of you that need a little inspiration, I will post two diet plans as an example as follows:
GNARLY GOAT PLAN
1. No sweets, 2. No fried food, 3. No calories from beverages, 4. No calories between 7pm and lunch next day, 5. minimize processed foods, and 6. All the Goat Nuts you can stomach (kidding).
SCRAPPY PLAN
1. No calories from beverages, 2. Nothing with four legs, 3. Nothing you can't look at and see the ingredients, 4. Eat as much fruit and vegetables as you want, and 5. No rice
Feel free to post your own diet plan in the Comments below. Again, the key is MODERATION and restriction in terms that you are not just eating whatever you want, when you want it. If you are on a diet, IMO, it doesn't really matter what plan you follow (keto, paleo, Mediterranean, Weight Watchers, Counting Macros…). Choose what works best for you. Choose a diet plant that works with your lifestyle and stick to it. As a result of you being on a "diet," your mindset will be one of self-control and in constant reminder that you have control of your body.
2nd F. Pick a battle buddy or two, and LOCK SHIELDS. Hold yourself accountible to another brother. This is a great, short challenge to start in your shield lock group, or with men in which you regularly post. And it's fun too. Tweets are already coming in on what to eat, what not to eat, how to cut your gut like Dave Ramsey cuts credit cards. This is supposed to bring on some level of fun and #MumbleChatter. Get involved and join the conversation.
3rd F. From a spiritual prespective, I challenge my brothers and myself to ask the question: Why do I over-eat? For me personally, I have really sought wisdom in this area and it has been revealed to me that it is really a TRUST issue for me. Do I trust in myself or do I trust in God? Am I treating my body like a temple? Am I honoring God with my body? For me, I am afraid of giving God control over this area of my life and selfishly take control myself to deal with stress or conflict or whatever. Can I trust God to help me in those areas?
So for me, my power verse for this death to DadBod challenge will be as follows:
For God did not give me a spirit of fear, but of power and love and self-control. 2 Timothy 1:7
As a child of the 1980's, I see He-Man raising his sword and declaring, "I have the POWER." Again, it's not in my own stregth or power, but God's power that works in me. I have "self-control" because God gave it to me.
Each man has his own journey and inspiration. Please feel free to share your DIET PLAN in the comments below, make fun of Gnarly Goat's or mine, and please share what inspires you to live better.
Aye,
Scrappy
