Amen and I did the switchy switch today at each of our AO's…..here is the Wilderness version:
Little did I know that this decision would cost me one snooze on the alarm this morning!!! Geez, its a long way past Samson to Wilderness!!!! In any case, I rolled in and under the direction of Toxic (of all the PAX to see to start my day!!!) I parked and got this thing rolling….
Warmorama:
Mosey in this tiny little parking lot thing around some big tree and then circle up. SSHx15 IC; 1 Burpee; LSx10IC; 2 Burpees; ISTx10IC; 3 Burpees; WMx10IC; 4 Burpees; TSx10IC; 5 Burpees. Mulligan got the quiz question correct so no more burpees…….
The Thang:
When I reached out to Amen to find out what this AO was all about he said…"we have a basketball court, a hill, a rock pile, a traffic circle, and a playground" That was all I needed to plan a trip around Wilderness.
Basketball Court: We started at the basketball court and did a traditional basketball suicide. At each turn we did Squats and at the home turn we did 1 Burpee. YES, this resembles a Samson tradition of Samson Suicides!!!
The Hill: We ran down the hill. Stopped at Queens Crossing on the advice of some regulars for some Freddie Mercury. 20IC to be exact.
The Rock Pile: We all grabbed a rock.
The Traffic Circle: We did 3 sets of 10IC of Shoulder Press; SkullCrusher; Curls. In between set 1 and 2 we Bear Crawled one quarter way around the circle and then ran the rest. In between set 2 and 3 we Bear Crawled the first quarter, crab walked the 2nd quarter and ran the rest. Recover.
The Rock Pile: We put the rocks back where we found them.
The Hill: We ran up the hill.
The Playground: We found some benches or in one case, the bottom of the slide….guess who??? and did a Dip/Step up combo: 15 dips IC; 5 step ups; 10 dipsIC; 10 step ups; 5 dips IC; 15 step ups
Mosey back to the "Tree of Life" for MARY:
Another combo. This time LBC and Low Flutter….same pattern as above. Then it was time for some core work. High Plank for 30 seconds, Side Plank 30 seconds; Other side plank 30 seconds; high plank 30 seconds. Ended with one "crisp, clean, burpee" as only Jedi would say (Jedi is founder of Samson)
RECOVER, RECOVER!
Great work today men!!! Toxic was his usual self with the mumble chatter but I will say he gave good direction and worked to maintain what appears to be some strong traditions at Wilderness….thanks Brother!! Mulligan has the coolest bike I have ever seen…..I've already ordered mine!! Great work man!!! It was great to see Ultraman gliding in through the darkness…..this guy is just beast mode every time i see him!!! Hot Wax didnt say much other than to question Toxic all morning long….that was fun!!! Gambini made the trek ALL THE WAY to Wilderness….thank for the support brother…..Where did that 20 pounds go again??? …..to AMEN, the Wilderness, MQ….you have a great thing going here brother….keep up the good work!!!
Until next time!
