1o gathered in the gloom with discussions about places to put Goat’s hands in Jersey Boy’s privates as hand warmers that was not NSFW nor really something you want to ponder at 5:25AM. But it made for some good laughs to start the morning – luckily that interaction was only verbal and not physical – phew.
After a couple of minutes Callie strolled up post warm-up after arriving a couple minutes past 5:30. But he was ready to roll and jumped in with vigor and comments about having to get 100 merkins and 200 LBC’s – which I was happy to oblige for he and Goat.
The Thang
Warmup – ISST X 15, Toy Soliders X 15, Mosey to back of HT – Carrot Pullers X 15, Squats, Merkins, quick hammy stretch
Mosey to top of Greenway – partner up, Dora to follow – Callie appeared out of the gloom about then 🙂
200 Merkins – while partner runs up road past new healthcare building – figured Goat and Callie could get in their 100
400 LBC’s – again Goat and Callie get in your 200
I was OMO – but got in 100 pushups and 200 LBC’s – so not bad for an old, bald headed dude
Mosey to big wall to do Praying Mantis X 20 for Possum – he loves chatting about the sex life of insects
Mosey down greenway
Carolina Dry Docks X 15, squats X 15, 2 Pax did dips on the bench
Mosey down to the fence – FIRKIN’s – Fence, Incline Merkins – X 15
Mosey back up the hill – once all Pax gathers – BLMF’ers to 15 – crowd pleaser as usual
Mosey to HT Parking lot Slow Squat X 15, heel raises X 15
Mosey around HT to get to 1.5 miles
Mobility minutes
Mary – FM’s X 30, LBC’s X 15 – Recover Recover
Announcements – Afton Challenge Jan 14, Canuck’s Step-father turns 100 on Jan 6th
Prayer Requests – Tweetsie’s wife and family
The mumble chatter was exceptionally strong today – Jersey Boy and Bel-Air did a lot of chatting, Possum as always was a mix of filthy mumberchatter about insect romance and who knows what else while also carrying on conversations and getting in a few exercises along the way. Goat and Callie were strong in their continuous mumblechatter – but finally got them all quiet on the 2nd side of doing BLMFers – nothing like a little glute pain to get this crowd quiet.
As always, a pleasure to lead such a fine group of sort of, kind of, almost stand up men in the gloom for some fitness, fellowship, frivolity, and a prayer for the faith element thrown in at the end.
YHC – Canuck
That was a fun morning! Thanks for leading Canuck!
A great workout with muscle-echoes through Saturday for me! (When you have a slow runner in partner exercises, you wind up doing a LOT of reps!) Thanks for stepping up to Q, Canuck. You are a stalwart leader and an inspirational participant of the grand F3 experiment!
