Five manly men showed for an epic beatdown…err…a challenging regimen…oh, okay, it was just a Sonar Circuit. The track was unusually accessible and every single gate – even one we didn’t know existed – was open and inviting us to take on the oval pavement.

The THANG
Head to the track to the concrete bleachers for a Sonar Circuit.
- Bleacher hops to the top
- 10 calf raises
- Walk to the bottom and out to the track
- Bear crawl through the hurdles for about 50 yds (first three laps); Karaoke zig-zag around the hurdles (remainder of the laps)
- Lunge walk the next 50 yds.
- Slow mosey the 100yds around the turn
- Sprint the straightaway (100 yds)
- Mosey back to the start for repeatos
Got 6 or 7 laps of this is before we…
Head back through the launchpad to the parking lot chute
- Chute (hill) repeats for about the next 10 minutes. Run hard up – walk back

Romans 3:1-5

Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.

Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.

For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you.

For he is God’s servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God’s servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also because of conscience.
This is a tough one for me. It’s not easy to follow authority when you disagree with it. We discussed that, perhaps, if we can’t bring ourselves to hope for the success of those in authority to achieve their plan which we disagree with – then at least we can pray for them to receive guidance to act according to God’s will.
