16 men awoke and got after it before most of the rest of the world even knew it was Wednesday. Little did they know that YHC had a horrible plan that would challenge their physical circumstance, yet strengthen their physical fortitude.
Admittedly, I could not remember if Hollywood still met at the Theater as its namesake would lead you to believe, at Starbucks like the rest of the Birkdale workouts or Total Wine as the website alludes you to conclude. Therefore, I arrived early and floated around all 3 locations until Primo showed up and alerted me to the proper AO. He also led a standard stroll about the Birkdale Village surroundings. We arrived back at the parked-car collective to find several pax with much anticipation in their souls. Two of the pax were ashamedly pointed out as FNGs and we berated them the rest of the morning (kidding). I took special care to make sure everyone was aware and could hear the disclaimer being announced. Then, we were off…
WARMORAMA run to the Summit parking lot. We stopped a few times to keep the group together and perform some warming-type exercises (SSH, slow squats, slow mericans, arm circles) AND make sure we all crossed Sam Furr within the confines of a “WALK” status on the crossing signal.
THANG: Filthy Fifty Pain Clock
Imagine the parking lot as a giant clock laying on its back with the 12 o’clock position at Atrium Urgent Care. The center of the parking lot is where the hands of the clock would rotate from. That is our starting position. We would run to the 1 o’clock position on the clock and perform 50 repetitions of an exercise and then run back to the center. REPEATO for every hour, returning to the center each time. These were the exercises:
1-Mountain Climbers (50 each leg)
2-LBCs
3-Squats (Monkey Humpers)
4-Rocky Balboas/Riverdance (50 each leg)
5-ISTs
6-Mericans
7-Plank Jacks
8-Reverse Lunged
9-Freddie Mercury
10-Toy Soldiers
11-Mason Twists
12-Line Hops
Commander run back through the parking lot, Quadraphelia up the hill to Sam Furr, Sprint through the BBQ lot, mosey to the get-away cars…RECOVER RECOVER

Awesome to see so many hard chargers out this morning. I hope everyone got better or at least had fun.
Soprano is an inspiration. He’s technically still on IR, but continues to post and adapt/modify to remain accountable and hold others to a higher standard.
At the request of the pax, we changed our squats at the 3 o’clock position to monkey Humpers to “accommodate” our Stretch Armstrong brethren. The action was quickly reciprocated with prejudice.
Eeyore gets extra credit for not giving up his search for us even after running 2 miles to find us.
Great to see a couple FNGs posting this morning. Keep inviting all the men you know. As Jolly Roger so eloquently says, someone is praying for you to ask.
