Happy Birthday Vandelay! One more year of being a “hate”.
9 Pax felt guilty that Vandelay was a sad clown last week at Titan, and were determined to not let that happen again despite the rain. Here is their story:
0500: 9 Lives and YHC for a nice slowish standard.
0530: We ran a nice 5k route that mimicked in some ways the Titan 5 mile route. We stopped periodically to do 15! Mericans and slow deep squats. 15!, or “fifteen factorial” is the sum of the first 15 integers. You can calculate the total the hard way, or use this formula for the sum of the first “n” integers:
{n * (n+1)} / 2
Moleskin:
- We prayed for Crabby’s wife Jen and for Hippie’s Uncle Vincent. We also prayed for our aging parents.
- Vandelay was going to join for the standard but his 2.0 had a nightmare. This is a valid reason.
- Jaws was going to join for the standard but it was raining. This is not a valid reason.
- 9 Lives DID join for the standard because “I knew you’d be here Turnpike”. Solid my dude.
- Vandelay joked he knew he was late because he saw Jorel pulling in. Now that’s just wrong! Jorel gets the math done today.
- Ultraman and Die Hard rode together today because they are saving the environment “one clown at a time” lol. Safe travels Ultraman and we’ll see Die Hard tomorrow at Fartlek.
- Speaking of Fartlek, Hippie has the Q and he remembered that from our conversation probably in January.
- Tantrum thinks because his mumble chatter earned the Pax an extra 7 minutes on Saturday that his trick will work at any AO. Well, it did; everyone got back 90 seconds today!
- Thank you Vandelay for the opportunity to lead. Several Pax vowed to sign up during COT so that’s awesome. As we proved today, the workout need not be creative.
