June 14 2023 0530 was going to happen whether you (or the Q) were ready or not. Here is how it went down.
Warmorama:
- a short mosey to loosen up. 1/2 lap because The Force was wordsmithing everything I said.
- SSH x 15 ic
- Exercise the brain with a factoid that today in history Hawaii became a US territory. Not a state but a territory
- IST x 10 ic
- Windmill x 10 ic
- More brain exercises with a factoid that today in history The Falkland Islands became an English empire principality……for strategic sheep purposes
The thang:
- Let’s play Tic Tac Toe. Parking lot is broken out in to 9 segments with a specific exercise in each. Pax broken out into team X and team O. Objective is to be the first team to complete the prescribed exercise to win the chosen square.
- X’s started strong by winning the middle (15 burpees) and top left (50 merkins). They got cocky and went for the win in the bottom right (50 dips) but lost that space. The O’s rode ol’ momentum across the bottom row (50 WWII’s and 30 Carolina Dry Docks) for the win!
- Reset the board and keep going. X’s reasserted their dominance in the second round.
- 9 minutes of Mary to finish up. Let’s just say we did every conceivable ab exercise + Burpees and an Airborn Mind Bender
COP happened
Mighty Moleskin
- Thank you Estwing for the privilege to lead The Mighty Oak today.
- Like that old show “wife swap” but with MQs. Estwing leads a running workout (Ludicrous Speed) and YHC takes on a bootcamp at The Mighty Oak. In the end of the tv show each family appreciated their “wife” more after the swap. I have a feeling that will hold true for Isotope too!
- X’s definitely took the most squares. But Tic Tac Toe has always been a game of strategery. And that is why O’s took the day officially 1-0.
- Awesome for Enron and Henry to join us. I love it that he didn’t fly by but came right on in and Q’d an exercise with no hesitation.
- 10+ years of F3 and I have heard someone call Airborne Mind Bender about 1000 times during Mary. Every time it is met with a few laughs and some jabs and never ends up happening. But today was special as Bunyan called it and we all embraced it. And it was glorious.
- Praise for The Force’s mother while 5 rounds into her second set of treatment (if I said that right) she is such a warrior — travelling to visit for Mother’s Day and now travelling to the mountains with Papa Force. SUCH. A. WARRIOR.
- Prayers for Crab Leg’s M as well as The Force’s friend.
- What I learned today: Turncoat and his M celebrate 20 years of marriage today! That is awesome. I’ve known Turncoat, but I just met his M earlier this spring at Friday Happy Hours at Lowe’s. First off, she is great and Turncoat you “married up” “outkicked your coverage” and all those other terms. T-claps brother. But here is the point. You just need to see the two of them together. They fit. When you see them, you see what “and the two shall become one” means when put into real life. So (if you are married or in a relationship or want to be) be like Turncoat and Kristen. Fall in love and win at life!
Hardest game if TTT I’ve ever been a part of…. Quite the clever way the Q got the pax to give max effort. Competition- works every time.
I’m sore and I’m not sure from what. Tic Tac Toe I’ll tell the M.
Yes – Mama Force finishes round 5 of phase II Thurs. Like a freakin’ champ.
