The Price is Right Bob Barker tribute:
with the late great Bob Barker passing last weekend at the amazing age of 99 and YHC turning 51 today, YHC wanted to bring Bob’s magic to the F3 stage 7 pax showed up to play despite potential hazards from Hurricane Idalia which passed through the day and night before.
Here’s how it all shook out…
3 pax can play at a time. Other pax are the audience and get called up when pax playing loose.
Last pax at the #1 blue cone spot wins.
Q names the next exercise, players each guess the # of reps. Closest without going over wins. Pax over or furthest below goes back to the audience.
All pax then do the exercise and the # of reps.
The exercises (and hidden # of reps):
Burpees 51 single ct
Curls 25 IC
Skull Crushers 26 IC
OH Press 10 IC
Chest Press 25 IC
Lawn Mower 12 IC/arm
Bent Over Row 15 IC
Squat 15 IC
Christian McCalf-raise 23 IC
Commercial break for a long lap!
MWAR (and change studio)
Jackknife LBC 10 IC/leg
Suz Sommers 76 ct/leg
We ran out of time and did not get to:
WWII 15 single ct
The Penguin 20 IC
The Growler 15 IC
The Moleskine:
Leading off with 51 burpees is no way to win the pax over. Hopefully this will be easier next year?
The pax quickly pointed out the lack of a warm-o-rama. Do I think they wanted one, or they just didn’t want the burpees? You decide…
Great to meet Merkel today. I hear he’s nursing a wrist injury (disclaimer!) and I noticed a brace. Way to push through!
With this BB Happy Gilmore gets removed from the Kotter list. I thought I’d be able to guilt him into posting for my bday. He’s a good friend and an average at best neighbor. Thanks for coming. Even if it was Bob Barker that truly Drew you in…
BEP must know the exact number of days it takes before showing up on the Kotters list. He always makes it out just in time! Thanks for choosing this one, brother (and neighbor twice!).
Tammy Faye ignored all audience advice while he out deep thought into every guess… I think he won once?
Gambini is an old school pro. Used his “1 dolla” guess well and won numerous rounds with it.
Bob Ross had the biggest smile on his face while doing curls with the jingle playing in the background. I’m sure he’ll tell his therapist about this childhood memory soon.
T-Claps to Tuffy who won todays episode of The Price is Right! His reward? Being on the rope while the pax completed 76 Suzy Somers each leg!
The Price is Right jingle remains in my head. Hopefully the rest of the pax are with me on that… and I’m posting this at 5pm!
Fun time this morning – thanks for humoring me, fellas. There was some down time, but also some burning from high reps.
