6 pax didn’t get enough Labor yesterday, so we labored a little more this morning. Here is their story:
So I’ve pulled the ‘old “it will be easy” schtick in the PB too many times. Nobody bought it. Everybody was there to get after it this morning. Jobe had a head start with an Olivia core standard. He was looking swole all over after that.
Annnnnd we launch to the decks at Birkdale.
- Deck 1: Run up the ramp, 20 WW2s so that we’re facing the upward incline to make it a bit harder.
- Deck 2: Run up the ramp, 10 hand release double tap (“no cheat”) merkins, run down the ramp, run up the stairs, 10 burpees, run down the stairs. REPEATO
- Take the long way around on the greenway. Do 2X hill sprints on the hill from the greenway up to Pure Barre.
- Deck 3: 10 Bonnie Blairs each leg, run the ramp, 10 deep squats, run down the ramp. REPEATO
- Back to Deck 1 and REPEATO the whole circuit, with some extra WW2s at Deck 1.
Totals: Very nearly 4 miles including 16 ramps/hills, 80 WW2s, 40 no cheat merkins, 40 burpees, 40 Bonnie’s, 40 deep squats.
Moleskin
- AMPM was super duper on time today. He didn’t want to come, but knows I need the accountability so he showed up anyway.
- Jobe admitted this was “actually a pretty hard workout”. I’m happy I could surprise you.
- Slingshot said he hadn’t done any bootcampy kind of stuff in a while, but you wouldn’t have known it by watching him work this morning.
- Cubicle likes to do hard things and is pumped for his first IPC this Thursday.
- I’ve been hanging out with Hollywood a bunch lately. I’ve seen him at more hard workouts than easy ones.
All PAX crushed it today. Thanks for the accountability and good job gents.
I agree with Jobe. It definitely was a pretty hard workout. I may have to get used to being the six if I keep showing up to FKT. Thanks for the jump start to my day!
False. If you keep showing up to FKT and giving a frontrunner type effort like you gave this morning, you will not have to get used to being the six because you won’t stay the six for very long! Looking forward to it!
