Moleskin “Ode to Stretch”

In the early light’s gentle embrace,

We gather as the dawn awakes,

With Frogger, Die Hard, Amen, Greyhound, Bel-Air, Hacker, Spitfire, Eleven and Toby on the green space, the Stretch Armstrong AO takes place.

So, let us stretch, fellow Pax, and reach the sky,

In morning’s light, together we try,

Allowing each stretch to make our spirits run high.

Together, we share the morning’s view,

Stretching our limbs, hearts pure and true,

While in joyful unity, our brotherhood grew.

Each stretch, a bridge ‘twixt friends so near,

Through stretch and effort our bonds grow sincere.

With each stretch, we feel delight,

Because in the gloom, we reach for new heights,

Together we find strength in morning’s light,

With Pax and mumble-chatter, everything feels right.

The sun ascends, a golden sphere,

With friends like family, we’re always near,

As we stretch, some may impact our pride,

Because some stretches required our legs to open wide.

With these dear Pax, side by side,

Morning’s magic of fellowship, cannot hide.

Talking Heads also joined in after his 6 mile OTB run,

He even bought coffee for everyone!

As the sun ascends, our spirits intertwine,

In morning’s grace, our brotherhood divine.

Each AO is bridge, a bond, a thread,

Through stretch and effort, we are led,

To our COT, to break any dread.

COT/Namarana/Prayer Requests:

-Teenage drivers-concerns for safety, given recent Mooresville accident of LKN HS student. Remember the Knight family.

-Unspokens in all F3 circles.

-Toby’s family appreciates the prayers and support during their time of loss of his father-in-law. Please continue to pray for his mother-in-law, wife, and family. Also pray for peace for a man named Dillon and his family who were involved in the incident.

-There are plenty of Q slots at all AO’s. Please sign up.

-For new Pax, volunteer to lead/Q (we’ll help you co-Q). For you seasoned guys, sign up for some Q’s. Invite a brother you haven’t seen in a while who’s a Kotter. Invite that #just1 who needs you more than you know (an invitation is a powerful thing brothers). If none of those work for you, just show up. No one will be left behind, but it all starts with the discipline to take one step on your own.
