Quarry Hood Rediscovered

Event Date

Feb 17, 2024

Tees hombres came out to the Quarry Hood in a Saturday morning for some shenanigans. Two came by foot one by Suburban, with the latter being a bit underdressed for the occasion

Warm-o-Rama

Jog towards park. Stop at Arizona’s triangle for some SSH, Toy Soldier, Carrot pickers and a dynamic stretching platter

The Thang

Part 1

Mosey to park benches, and do the following timed exercises with 20 seconds on and a 10 second rest.

-Decline Mercans

-Left legged step ups

-Incline Mercans

-Right legged step ups

-Dips

-Double leg step ups / box jumps

-Bench crunches

We did these five times. Four of these times with musical accompaniment since the DJ was a bit slo on the first round

Part 2

Mosey to the bottom of hill to the Barre bars for some stretching. We may have very well offended some of the passerby’s and negatively impacted property values

Part 3

Timed ab circuit at Arizona’s triangle

Moleskine

-Been quite some time since a Saturday workout was held at the Quarry Hood. It landed quite well

-Toy soldiers, although a bit rough at the start, were well received. Way better than Imperial Storm Troopers

-Q saw the Overlook run support team (Pinky and Slow) on his way out of the hood

-There are future plans for Q to run to and from Riverbend, but need a few less lbs for the round trip

-Bogo is in fact out for V2V on account of knee injury, at least he let us know early

-As previously covered in this forum, Grip’s wife really likes him getting out of the house for workouts on Saturdays

-With not having a lot of Saturday morning workouts recently, he has resorted to Walking the dog

-This may very well be a euphemism for copulation. Upon reflection, perhaps that’s a bit demeaning to one’s partner

-Q may have lost his muse for BackBoasts during 2H 2024. Will continue to work on recapturing it.

-Nothing better than a brewery tour with the family in tow on a Saturday

-Alternate Saturday road trip options discussed for heading up north to Huntersville or down to Belmont

-Great work men!!!
