The Thang
- Inspired by Katie Ledecky’s dominance in the 1500 Meter free, the PAX focused on the 2 beat kick useful for open water and distance swimming.
- 200 warm up
- 4 x 50 Catch-up drill with board and fins focusing on one kick per arm stroke
- 4 x 50 Catch up drill with fins focusing on one kick per arm stroke
- 4 x 50 pull with pull buoy focusing on a foot flicker once per arm stroke
- 5 x 100 swim with fins focusing on the 2 beat kick
- 500 swim no equipment, 2 beat kick
- 200 cool down
The Moleskin
- The 2 beat kick is 2 kicks per one arm stroke cycle (one cycle is a stroke with each arm) or it can be considered one kick per each arm. The left kick occurs when the right hand is entering the water and the opposite for the right kick.
