The best day of Enrons life

About 9 miles to summit James Peak (13,000ft ) passing through St Mary’s Glacier. Can’t remember elevation gain but if I had to guess it was at least 3,300, maybe 3,500 but not more than 4,000. At the top you could see James Peak in the distance to the north. Weather was gorgeous, scenery was gorgeous, helicopter camping is a thing I guess. We saw multiple people hiking up with skis and snowboards who’d strap up at the top of the glacier and ride down. Some with dogs running in their trail. It was so cool to see. We all got to meet Enrons running coach who flew by us on the trail and embraced Enron with hug trailside. He went on to win the Leadville 100 later this summer. We got to slide-ski down the glacier which was super fun. And then at the glacier lake we saw a few people at a small cliff jump and I knew it was my last chance to redeem myself from the day before. I redirected to that side of the lake where Sac, Popcorn and myself all went for a chilly plunge from about 18’ — as we were leaving Enron waded into the water and went for a dip as well.
this was such a fun day. We were all thrilled and blessed to be able to share this experience together.
