The 21st day of September gets all the love, but today six twitterpated hard-chargers sallied forth on the lesser-known 23rd day of September for some serious “baa dee yaa and dancin the night away”. YHC and Mayhem (in the a.m.) arrived first for some quiet contemplation and placid warming of our limbs and torsos. We thought we might achieve the two-person critical mass necessary to move right into an immediate coffeeteria, but alas the salty dog himself rolled in wearing his muscle shirt, and soon enough Airstream and Stromboli strolled in from the west. Thus assembled, the motley crew launched into the gloom only to observe Soprano coming in hot with the “Hoke Lumber Starter Kit” flopping in his Omnia-mobile, so that made us an even half-dozen.
We traipsed across the “bridge to nowhere” and put forth a rock-sharing, hill running, merkin’ing and mobility effort which I dare say made us all feel really good.
After pouring the sweat we assembled to pour the coffee. MMM and AA showed up at a coffeeteria where many topics were covered, and much B-S was shoveled.
With the workouts complete and the coffee consumed, all hands adjourned to go out and make a positive difference in the Isotope community and beyond. It was a morning upon which our hats may be hung with pride. Bleat. GG sends.
