Backblast: Steps, Stretching, and Stubbornness
Date: [Insert Date Here]
QIC: Ryan “Insert F3 Name Here”
Warm-Up:
We gathered in the gloom, getting right to it. PAX rolled in, most likely struggling to find motivation (just like me) but knowing we’d be better for it.
Started with some good ol’ stretching to loosen up those creaky joints. Hamstrings, quads, shoulders — the whole deal. Felt good to stretch, even if the mind wasn’t fully awake yet.
The Thang:
Steps, steps, and more steps! We focused on getting in those miles while moving at a decent clip. Not your typical bootcamp beatdown, but hey, steps are still progress, right? Walking, talking, and tackling those step counts like we had something to prove. Pro-tip: wearing a watch makes it feel like a mission.
Listened to Dr. John Delony on a podcast as we hustled along — solid guy with plenty of wisdom. Honestly, the guy was spitting straight knowledge, and the podcast carried us through those miles. Whether it’s handling stress, mental health, or how to be a better human, his advice hit home. Definitely worth the listen if you haven’t checked him out yet.
COT:
Wrapped up with some coffee, because what’s better than an early morning grind followed by caffeine? Coffee didn’t just wake us up, it brought some extra clarity. Also brought the nagging realization that I had to write this backblast. I’ll admit, I’d rather do more steps than have to write these things, but duty calls.

At the end of the day, we got our steps, stretched out the soreness, and left better than we came.
Moleskin:
Writing backblasts is still not my thing, but here it is. Getting in the work and sharing the journey. Maybe next time I’ll have someone else write it!
No wonder you don’t like writing backblasts. You do double the work by writing everything twice! But then, that’s a good way to make sure it all sinks in when I read it. Bravo! 👌
