What an awesome morning to kick off the day! The sky was clearer than a window after fall cleaning, and the crisp 57-degree air had just the right amount of chill to keep us on our toes. We warmed up nice and easy before wandering over to the rock pile—because what’s a workout without lugging around a rock that would make your momma proud? I went for a big girl (go big or go home, right?), whilst the rest grabbed rocks so skinny they could moonlight as chopsticks.
For the main event, we hit up three spots in the Samson AO. First up, a delightful combo of sprints and rock exercises that got the heart racing and the arms burning. Then we moseyed over to the “cover area” for some intense stationary rock work—think of it as rock yoga, minus the tranquility. YHC tried to break his leg at one point so we were minus one set of declined rock merkins. We wrapped it all up with some solid wall work, still clutching our trusty rocks, before returning them to their rightful pile. After all, sharing is caring, even when it comes to rocks. Finished things off with a round of Mary at COT (Circle of Trust, for the uninitiated).
All in all, a stellar workout! We also got to hear Force’s weekly saga—man, that guy’s got stories for days. Sent up lots of prayers for Force’s friend, Ken, and for their upcoming golf benefit. We’re also keeping the Force’s mom in our thoughts, along with everyone facing the ups and downs of this wild journey called life.
