Based on a few responses to the pre-blast for a late 630am Gladiator start, YHC wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of attendance at a Christmas Eve beatdown but knew some PAX like Crocs, 9-lives and others would be doing a 6am standard prior to the workout. YHC was overwhelmed to see an army of 21 form at the start of warm-a-rama which begin with a 1/2 Soprano offering of 50 SSH IC. As one might expect on the morning of Christmas Eve with 21 men in attendance, the mumble-chatter was heavy, distracting, and amusing, causing YHC to shift to auto-pilot for the remainder of the 45 minute beatdown.
The core of the workout was at the newly organized and never under utilized block pile in the back corner of St. Marks parking lot. PAX would perform plenty of curls, presses, rows, slow squats, and alternating forward and reverse lunges. YHC called a farmer’s carry around the parking lot, but was quickly reminded by Airstream that a one -armed carry is more appropriately called a suitcase carry (noted!). 2 laps of suit case carries were performed by the PAX. We would also hit the lower school with People’s Chair, Praying Mantis, and single count merkins on the curb where Blackbeard would cause the PAX to “jump offsides” by barking “UP”, mistaking it for YHC’s “UP” (pretty funny and most PAX likely didn’t even know)
Focus this AM was on lifting, so the distance was light and something just under 1 mile, and the best part of the morning was having 20 PAX join YHC for the Christmas Eve morning festivities at Gladiator
Honored to have Slaughter, F3 Nation’s former nantan, with us in the gloom! Great having you brother!
Special prayers for Beave, who recently lost his father, and prayers for Omega who recently lost his father-in-law.
Other spoken and unspoken requests were lifted up this morning as well.
FNG-1 Can we get Slaughter registered on the Isotope site?
FNG-2 “Catness” who is visiting from Leesburg, VA, great guy visiting family in the area and who happened to find the workout on the website.
Thanks Toby for your leadership at Gladiator and making it a superb AO….an honor to lead here!
Merry Christmas to all the PAX and their families
