AO

I have to admit, I was a little worried if anyone would show up for Bedrock after received several messages from some regulars that they were either out of town or sick.  I pulled into the dark parking lot around 6:52 and was the only one there.  However, no fear as Moses was right behind me about a minute later and quickly followed by Bagboy, Crimson and then Soprano right at start time.

Since it was 23 degrees I promptly had us start our journey down the track to keep us moving and keep us warm to begin our warmarama.  We made it about halfway around when we saw someone making a quick lap around the track in nice running form.  Since the form and speed was so impressive we figured it wasn’t one of us, however, this figured slowed down once he got around to us just to turn out it was Cubicle coming in late.  We made 2 laps around the track with periodic stops for some warm up exercises.

Once that as done we made it up the hill to the playground for where we would remain for the remainder of the morning.

Thus began our workout journey.  Soprano caught on to the pattern early, while others were a little busy socializing while running and exercising to figure out what was going on.  We did 10 pullups, 15 merkins, 20 squats, 25 dips, 30 LBCs, while running down the parking lot and back in between each one.  After the first full round everyone kind of figured out we were doing some form of the Vern.  Surprisingly, none of us could really remember what the actual original Vern exercises were but thought we were close.

We had some early defectors though with 2 guys skipping the parking lot runs for some form of Mary exercise.  Being the concerned Q that I am, I did announce it was ok to modify as needed.  Moses even joined in with some band exercises at some point.  Kudos to Cubicle, Soprano and myself for finishing all of the running.  However, I was a little split as Bag Boy was hitting the Q up for some mobility moment stuff while Soprano was wanting to finish a proper Vern by running .75 miles at the end.  Well, I caved and we finished with some mobility and then everyone got to pick an ab exercise thus promptly finishing at 8:01 and even with a warm shining sun right on us.

We finished 3 rounds at 3.33 miles.

We even had 100% attendance at coffee this morning. Thanks to Moses for closing out the COT with the prayer and even buying coffee.  Great discussion at coffee with setting 2025 personal goals.

Thanks to  Possum for letting me lead this great group of men.
