A cord of one is a jumprope

FNG-1 is James now known as FIREWALL.  Thanks to Gambini for bringing him out.

Here’s a recap of this mumblechattered filled extravaganza.

Warm-o-rama: take a lap around the lot and then circle up for all you favorite warm up exercises.

The THANG: grab a block and report back to the launch pad.  YHC brought a prop for the workout – a jumprope.  YHC started and we rotated around the circle.  The rope was like the conch in Lord of the Flies (spolier alert – Piggie dies).  With rope in hand, call an exercise AMRAP and become the timer as you jump 50 times.

Though not official – we did grade the jumpers.  There was a variety of skill levels displayed with the rope.  We had a clear #1 and a clear #2 – after that there was a massive tie for third and then the wheels fell off.   #1 with his assorted double jumps was Gambini.  #2 with his Burn Boot Camp honed skills was Mona Lisa.  Gambini’s effort was so good – the PAX had to do 5 burpees OYO as we reflected on the majesty of what we had just witnessed.  All 17 of us got a chance to jump – exercises were typical block exercises.  We took a few laps around the lot to breakup the sets.

After the rope a rama (trademark pending) – we partnered up with one partner putting away his block.  We made our way to the bus lot and the wall.  On the way – Partner A began walking with the block and did an exercise of his choosing: overhead press, curls, Zamperini, etc.  Partner B did 10 jump squats and then caught up to Partner A.  Flip Flop Repeato until we got to the wall.

Wall Series: Peoples Chair with land the plane, Praying Mantis, One armed wall presses (both arms), Praying Mantis, Peoples Chair with touch them heels.

Head back to the rock pile from wence we came.  Partner A – Block exercise, Partner B 10 Carolina Dry Docks, Flip Flop Repeato to the pile.

Finish with a short lap to take the long way to the launch pad.

MARY: LBCs, Pretzel Crunch, Pigeon Series.

Recover, Recover.

Rope Moleskine:

It has been too long since I ventured to Fallout.  With my +1 Deep Dish loaded into the clown car we made the journey.  It was well worth it.

Great group of guys. Great AO.  Turnpike is a great MQ and has done a nice job of beating the bushes to bring Qs to Fallout.  I’ll be back.

May 10 Drebin is organizing a trip to Western NC.  Talk to him if you can help.

Possum’s Pickleball fundraiser for Hope House continues for several more weeks.  See the pre-blast or just show up at 0700 on Saturday at Holbrook Park (downtoen Huntersville behind 760).

We prayed for Gambini’s sister Amy who is having a baby.

Great to be counted among you fine men.

Peace,

HOLIDAY
