Here's how it went down with a disclaimer that exact details may be slightly off.  To those who attended, please add your corrections where needed.

Mosey back to field, lining up on one end of field facing the small set of bleachers located on other end of field.

PAX performed a ladder of dips, merkins and wide-grip merkins, starting at 2 reps and increasing by 2 reps until a final count of 10 was achieved by running across field, performing sets of three, running back across the field and repeating.

Second historical fact presented: A large number of Smithville residents attend AME Zion Union Bethel and AME Zion Torrence Chapel.

Mosey towards Catawba, and head east down sidewalk.  Brief stop at Cornelius Elementary for incline merkins on the risers around the playground.

Continue mosey on Catawba heading east and stopping at Husky Paint Parking lot for a gathering of merkins and mobiltiy moment.

Contnue mosey on Catawba east to Potts Barbershop

Third historical fact presented: Potts Barbershop established in 1952 by Wilson Potts.  His son Gerald "Micky" Potts still cuts hair there.  Mickey's wife, now decesased, was the first and only African-American Mayor of Cornelius.

4 exercises were selected by Outlaw, SwingState, Moses, and HSB with the reps of each exercise corresponding to the dollar amount of 4 services provided by Potts.  14 haircut, 8 beard trim, 8 shave, and 8 line up

Mosey back west on Catawaba and left on School Street towards Smith Circle.

Fourth Historical fact presented:  A new street, Nannie Potts Lane was dedicated in the fall of 2021, and is located just beyond Smith Circle and ends at Hwy 21 where the coin laundry establishment is located.

A short call-out  was made about the Neighborhood Care center that was established by Grave Covenant Church in 2016 on Smith Circle

Fifth Historical Fact:  Smithville CommUNITY Coalition was established in 2011 for the revitalization of the Smithville Community.  Lisa Mayhew-Jones is president of the Coalition and a former Smithville resident.

Mosey back west on Catawba ending at the parking lot of AME Zion Church Union Bethel for a trivia question in order for the PAX to avoid burpees.  Trivia Question was as follows: At the annual summer event held in the parking lot, what is exact food that is served.  YHC recalls the guess being collard greens? which was incorrect, as the annual event, fried catfish is served.

Mosey towards center of Smithville Park field, where the PAX performed a 20 burpee penalty and ended with popcorn-style MARY with each of the PAX calling out various exercises.

  • Curb-side cleanup in Smithville on 3/26 8am-11am will be preceded with a 7AM workout at Smithville
  • Thanks to SwingState for taking us out in prayer and lifting up the residents who live in the Smithville area
  • Coffeeteria at Old Town Public House was attended by all of the PAX and lively and thoughful discussion was had to determine how the PAX of F3 can gently begin building relationships with the residents of Old Cornelius.
  • HSB heading to celebrate his anniversary with his M in San Juan…have a blast brother.
  • Moses, thanks for your note taking and compiling a list of contacts in the Smithville area.
