11 jet-set hard-chargers chartered the Concorde for a jaunt around the hot-spots of Europe this morning.
Well, maybe we didn’t charter the Concorde… but we did talk about seeing Sudz’ new Tesla, so basically the same thing.
We started our tour with a visit to the most beautiful piazza in the world… the Piazza Dei Miracoli – the “Square of Miracles” – in Pisa.
Well, maybe we weren’t at the Piazza Dei Miracoli, but we did tour the Piazza Del PAINinsula, where we did two loops and saw some most beautiful ‘Mericans, Crunches, and BLMF’ers ever produced.
Next we jetted over to the Colonnade of St. Peter’s, an integral part of St. Peter’s square in the Vatican, made entirely out of travertine, with construction overseen by Bernini in the 17th Century.
Well, maybe we weren’t at the Colonnade of St. Peter’s, but we did visit the Colonnade du Dry Cleaners, constructed entirely of Carolina bricks in the late 1990’s under the direction of a man named Gus the Mason. So basically the same thing.
Next we headed across the English Channel to Stonehenge, an amazing prehistoric megalithic structure on Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire. It consists of an outer ring of vertical sarsen standing stones, each around 13 feet height, seven feet wide and weighing around 25 tons, topped by connecting horizontal connecting stones.
Well, maybe we didn’t go to Stonehenge, but we did get in a circle about 13 feet in diameter, and we hoisted rocks that were every bit of 7 inches wide, weighing at least 25 pounds. So basically the same thing.
We finished with a curbside stroll along the famous Champs d’Elysee where the Arc de Triomphe is located. It is known for it’s theaters, coffee shops, and luxury shops.
Well, maybe we didn’t have a curbside stroll along the Champ d’Elysee, but we did run between some curbs in front of some shiny trucks, and we all felt like Champs as we drank coffee in a supermarket lobby. We felt triumphant. So basically the same thing.
All in all, it was morning when all ye men abed missed out. YHC hopes everyone enjoyed their trip around Europe.
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be rememberèd—
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne’er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition;
And gentlemen in Isotope now a-bed
Shall think themselves accurs’d they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon PAINinsula day.
