Destination NMP, Explore We Did….

As I pulled into the parking lot this morning preparing for rain showers, I stepped out of the car to overcast conditions, but no rain.  I had my rain gear on expecting showers during the entire workout.  Ty Webb and Axle rolled up and greeted me at 5:28 so I was able to avoid the sad clown workout.  Axel was prepared to Q, but was unaware I had signed up on the calendar over a week ago and put out a #pb.  After we decided I would handle Q duties, we took off at 5:30.  Here’s what we did…

Mosey over to the standard area for some Warm-A-Rama.

SSH x 20

Cotton Pickers x 10

Windmill x 10

IST x 10

Toy Soldier x 10

Mosey down to the lower lot stopping at the rock pile.  Grab a rock.  All exercises done in cadence unless otherwise noted.

Curls x 15

Shoulder Press x 15

Skull Crushers x 15

Run down to the stop sign, quadraphilia back up to your rock.

Bent over Row x 20

Rock Swings x 20 OYO

8-Count Builders x 10

Run down to the stop sign, quadraphilia back up to your rock.

Repeat-O except decrease the count x 5 on the Curls, Skull Crushers, and Shoulder Press.  Put your rock back and mosey down to the stop sign.

For these next exercises we will use the lower lot as the lap.  Start at the speed bump at the first parking spot.  Do the following exercises with a lap after each exercise for a total of (5) laps.

20 Mercans then lunge walk to the end of the lot and run the rest of the way back to the starting point.

20 CDD then lunge walk to the end of the lot and run the rest of the way back to the starting point.

20 Scorpion DD then lunge walk to the end of the lot and run the rest of the way back to the starting point.

20 Diamond Mercans then lunge walk to the end of the lot and run the rest of the way back to the starting point.

20 Squats then lunge walk to the end of the lot and run the rest of the way back to the starting point.

Mosey back to the church parking lot for Mary.

Mary:

Delegated Mary to the Pax.

Caboose – LBC x 20 IC

Axel – Low Flutter x 20 IC

Ty Webb – Heels to Heaven x 15 IC

Caboose – Windshield Wipers x 10 IC

Axel – Frog pushups (burpee without standing up and jumping)

Recover, recover….

Day 2 of “Why not” week in the books.  What was set up to be a cold and rainy day, actually turned out to be pretty decent and dry.  It was a nice group of 3 this morning in the gloom.  Ty Webb, thanks for slowing your pace to make Axel and I feel better on our laps.  Axel, strong work this morning.  What happened to the rest of the regulars?  The Viking is such a great AO with so much to explore.  I highly encourage everyone to sign up and Q.  Thanks to Stromboli for letting me Q.  You can follow me around the rest of the week at:
