0530 and no Q is on the boards. 4 PAX in the parking lot. This isn't uncommon if you've been to enough F3 workouts. You will also know that this is prefectly okay, though not desired. We begin by YHC leading off some COP. After a brief discussion we also determine that Sparrow has a fresh unopened deck of F3 cards with him. With rain likely in the forecast we develop a plan to use these cards for our workout today.
Squats, some number in cadence
Merkins, another number in cadence
About this time an unknown car pulls up. Out pops Joe. "Hi I'm Joe" "Hi Joe"…
Next Exercise SSH's IC x 20
Followed by some arm circles
Maybe something else that included some heavy breathng
Mosey over to the covered area…just in case it rains we don't want to get the cards wet.
At first Sparrow flips a card calls the exercise for the first couple then passes the buck to SWFL, then Clark, then Thriftshop. This goes on for several rounds. Then Joe walks over, flips a card and gets his first unofficial Q school, calls perfect cadence. We cycle through about 75% of the cards. they weren't shuffled. We did about 3 different suits, but the numbers weren't in order Kinda odd but also good, but whatever. Crowd pleasers were:
100 meter lunge walk
100 calf rasies
6MOM was sprinkled within the workout.
Reflection
There wasn't one, but go read your bible, and maybe signup to Q a workout. I mean if an FNG can do it, you can too.
Moleskin
More about Joe. He moved to the area from Cornelius a few months ago. He's 58 (RESPECT) and has been driving by seeing us around 6:15 for the last few months. Having some buddies in south Charlotte that do F3, he knew what we were and looked us up. He works for Heritage BlueFire (Visual Signage company).
Also because ThriftShop shared some Q spot I guess he reset's his annual VQ
