Today we honored the Royal Wedding… the happy couple (Jaws & Bob Ross) celebrated the sacrament of pain, witnesses only by the creepy Hopewell janitor, and arose with spirits refreshed in the holy sweat-water of Charlotte’s insufferable late-spring humidity.

Warmorama: mosey to the school front circle, SSH x 20, IST x 20, Mt Climber x 20, LBAC ~60 seconds, Cotton Picker x 20.

Pain Station 1: run to lunch pit, Donkey Kicks x 20, overhang leg lift (homer to marge) x 20, Jump-Ups x 20, Incline Merkin x 10, Roman Chair ~60 seconds.

Pain Station 2: run to the rocks, rock lunge (I got distracted by Bob Ross’s comment that North Charleston is nicknamed “North Chuck” and those probably lasted at least 2 minutes longer than intended), Rock Twist (Mason Twist with rock) x 20, Rock Squats x 30 (3×10 in different foot positions).

Pain Station 3: run to back of track, Carolina Dry Dock x 20, Roman Chair ~60 seconds, Balls to the Wall ~60 seconds.

Mary: run home, Hip Dip x 20, Pretzel x 20, Low Flutter x 20, Plank ~60 seconds.

Moleskine:

  1. That thing about the Royal Wedding?  This workout had absolutely nothing to do with the Royal Wedding.  And there were no free donuts.  Q is a dirty liar.
  2. Light participation day.  I saw the writing on the wall though… sometimes that’s just the way it goes with a monsoon the night before, several regulars with work / travel commitments, injuries / guys coming off the heavy, and Bonesaw season kicking into gear.  Whatever, beatdowns have no minimum attendance requirement.
  3. Bob Ross five-year anniversary Q on Wednesday morning at Mad Scientist.  DO IT.  I keep forgetting Bob Ross has been doing F3 this long… he hasn't been in Isotope / LKN super-long, but started with Raleigh long before many of us.  Quite the F3 connoisseur.
  4. North Chuck… hahaha.
  5. Next week we’re converged to Memorial Day Murph.  Details to follow via Twitter.  Probably gonna do the five-miler the week after (first Monday in June).
