A VQ while waking up the neighbors, driving instead of running, ripping off shirts, and showing off a 4×4

14 brave men made it out to the VQ at FKT this moring!

DonHo, Slingshot, Cousin Eddie, and Frodo decided to be manlier than the rest by running the standard before the workout.

The VQ began with the welcome, disclaimer (not often given at FKT), and instructions followed by a swift "Start on time, end on time" by DonHo as he was already starting the route.

Pain Station #1 (Corner of Devonshire)

The Pax ran hard to the first pain station not sure what was in store. YHC thought he could outrun Frodo but was sadly mistaken. (Are we even sure Frodo is human? The man is a machine.)

As the Pax were uniting for the exercise, a truck comes whipping in out of no where… Kosar. Though he got to drive the first and last leg of the workout, YHC was happy for his support at the VQ!

Pain Station #2 (Arnies Army)

Typically blocks aren't used at FKT, but in order to get that good arm workout, we used them today! Thank you to the Pax that ran fast enough to set up the blocks for everyone. Sadly, some had to use the large blocks because no other blocks were available; others chose to use the large blocks because they were there to feel the pain (Honeysuckle Blue).

During the cadence and chatter, we quickly realized we were probably waking up whoever is staying in the RV at Arnies. If the RV dweller happens to read this, our deepest apologies, you're more than welcome to join us at 0530 each morning for a great workout.

Pain Station #3 (Base of Hard Knox Hill)

The Pax quickly run to the next station where we get on our 6 and begin working on abs. YHC was so wrapped up in the cadence he didn't realize how loud he was… more people waking up. If the residents by Knox Hill happen to read this, our deepest apologies, you're more than welcome to join us at 0530 each morning for a great workout.

Pain Station #4 (Top of Hard Knox Hill)

This is the part of the workout that YHC is truly greatful for the pax that came out to support even though they don't do FKT normally. Not only is the running tough, but going to the top of Knox Hill is brutal.

Pain Station #5 (Base of Hard Knox Hill)

By now, the pax can see the pattern and knew that this was a repeato from station #3. We quickly got on our six after the nice run down the hill and begin working on abs again.

Back to the blocks… This time we were much quieter for the RV dweller.

Pain Station #7 (Corner of Devonshire)

This is when everything fell apart…. Lego just had to start talking…. The pax all begin to laugh instead of workout, YHC could barely keep cadence, and the rest of the neighborhood is now officially awake. If the resedents on the corner of Devonshire and Birkdale Commons happen to read this, our deepest apologies, you're more than welcome to join us at 0530 each morning for a great workout.

The workout came to a close as we all ran back to Birkdale Landing. Pax were begging Kosar for a ride back.

Even though it wasn't below freezing, Enron and Jobe looked for every excuse to rip off their shirts, lie down on the concrete, and show off to the rest of us. Lego didn't take to that showing off very well and decided to "accidently" show off his 4×4 truck by driving over the curbs in the parking lot with ease.

Thank you again for all of the men that made it out to support the VQ! Popcorn and Cherry Bomb, wish you could have been there… DonHo, thank you for not only pushing me but for also supporting me.

Until next time,
