Accountability at the Mighty Oak

FNG1 = Alan (strong work, come back brother!)

Unlisted, but in attendance = Fescue, Bandwagon

Wow!  YHC has been in the HTL orbit way too long.  When you take your bookbag off and venture to a foreign but frienly AO, the faces change.  I think I've bumped into a bunch of you 1-2 times, and a few it was the first time crossing paths.  If you are regular pax at this glorious AO, you will see me in the gloom again soon.  Special thanks to da coach (Ditka) for the opportunity to lead.

Showed up 15 minutes early with the guy who EH'd me (Cap'n) to scout the AO.  There are so many options at this place and look forward to a return Q. YHC already had the Wienke hard wired in his head, which is not specific to any AO, but portable pain sequence that works just about anywhere.  Saw a handful running the standard as Cap'n and I did some prep work, then returned to the shovel flag to rev it up.

Mosey to planters for…

6 alternating single-leg stand-ups + 6 dips  REPEATO REPEATO REPEATO (no break, no snacks)

8 step-ups + 8 D'ericans  REPEATO REPEATO (no pause)

Mosey to front lawn, so passing chicks could see us, for…

BLACKJACK! (cycles add to 21)

20 Partner Five 'Mericans -> Run? 40 yards  (became stumble in latter rounds) -> 1 Partner High Ten Situp

18 Partner Five 'Mericans -> Run -> 3 Partner High Ten Situp

17 Partner Five 'Mericans -> Run -> 4 Partner High Ten Situp

You get the picture….we switched to WWII situps around 15 as legs were starting to go willy nilly and didn't want anyone to get clipped in the apple bag.

We didn't close the frame  – most were on 3 'mericans + 18 situps – but I wanted to save time for MARY (because we didn't do enough situps??)

Total Counts:  207 'mericans 171 situps  WOOF!

MARY

The "Dirty Daisy"

One pax (stem) works the battle ropes for 10 double arm slaps in the middle

Everyone else (petals) does low flutter in a circle around

Then barrel roll counter clockwise when switching so everyone gets a shot at the ropes.

1. When taking us out, I linked the blackjack segment to accountability.  You have a partner waiting for you, their hand is out, you don't skip a rep, you don't let each other down, you encourage, you struggle together.  This was a microcosm of what brings us out in the gloom every day.  I would not be where I am as a man physically/mentally/spiritually  without my F3 brothers holding me accountable, with great consistency.  That is the big picture – click!

2. Thanks again to Ditka for the opportunity,  This also fits the accountability theme…Ditka Qs the River Monster…I don't "owe" him anything, but jump at the chance to get his back. Anytime brotha.

2.  Hasselhoff (respect!), thanks for pushing me as my partner of the day.  Steady and strong – keep movin!

3. Limburger = Fart Jedi , he waited for his moment in the center of the dirty daisy and brought thunder – fitting bouquet for a daisy…that a dog ate…then deposited on your lawn.

4. I'll see you all in da gloom again soon!  Hard working crew.  Strong brotherhood at this post.
