Four for the standard; Dingo, 9Lives, Code Blue, and Primo. There was also a team run – not sure exactly who was there exactly but I saw Auto and Gnarly Goat. Also we had a visitor from Area 51 – Cheese Curd!  Welcome to F3LKN’s The General.

27 of my good friends joined me for a beautiful morning where we did the following;

The Thang

Mosey over to the bottom of the entrance for some 11’s. Here’s how it went:

  • Run to the top of the hill
  • Do 10 burpees
  • Run to the bottom of the hill
  • Do 1 WWII sit-up
  • Repeat that pattern, subtracting 1 burpee and adding 1 WWII sit-up until you hit 1 burpee and 10 WWII sit-ups
  • Added Bonus – at the top of the hill every time a car drives by, stop what you’re doing and squat, holding steady at the low point, so basically an Al Gore. This is apparently called “Playing it Cool”. I suppose it could have been entertaining with a smaller group, but 28 PAX, maybe too many…
  • This routine took about 15 minutes.

Mosey to the baseball diamond for “Field of Dreams”. We split the PAX into 2 groups and sent one group to 2nd base. The routine here was:

  • 10 `merkins at 1st base
  • 10 squats at 2nd base
  • 10 LBCs at 3rd base
  • Run to home plate and do side-straddle hops until the other group advances from base 2 to 3
  • Then repeat and add +1 to each exercise.
  • Once the groups settled into the routine it seemed to go somewhat smoothly
  • This routine took about 16 minutes

Mosey to the parking lot for Mary

  • Pickle Pounders
  • Pretzel Crunch
  • Low Flutter
  • Plank

Moleskin

  • I’m always honored to be a part of F3 and for the occasional opportunity to lead a workout. The PAX were verbal today and a lot of fun.  Magnus thank you my friend for the opportunity to Q this lively AO.
  • Today wasn’t a milestone or anything for me but my wife had just pointed out that on this day last year I was finished a 3-month run in cardiac rehab. Right after that ended, I knew I needed to keep the exercise up but didn’t know where to go. I knew I wouldn’t be successful in a gym. One month later, I met Schneider at the Birkdale pool and he told me about F3, asked if I’d be interested. The question didn’t need to be asked twice. I was there 2 days later and haven’t looked back.
