For Pax beat the fartsack to join YHC in a chilly gloom at Richard Barry Park.
The calendar was empty the night befour so duty calls the MQ to fill that spot and make sure the AO stays alive, on life support at least. Today beat the odds and three additional pax showed up to keep the Q company, which lasted four the three minutes before start as the Q gave instructions for a mile warm-up. 800s at 3/4 race pace with slow 200 separator, then different paces separated us until 41 minutes leighter when the Q called an early recover-recover.
Ludicrous Speed, or more affectionately known as Luda, is for new runners and old, figuratively and literally. Our goal is to introduce some speed work and help runners get faster and stronger through speedwork (this term is very loosely enforced and relative to the capabilities of those in charge and in attendance). Speed work is effective though, and consistent training will yield results and help avoid injury.
Luda is looking for Qs so hit that calendar and sign up. It’s one of the easiest workouts to plan and lead.
Thanks to Jedi for taking us out in prayer.
And if you’re in town on March 16th make sure to sign up for the Christina Latini Memorial 8K!
Aye!
